When you have a goal in mind, there is nothing in this world that can stop you from achieving it. You go after that goal with everything you have and strive for success.
As someone who has goals that have fallen short and accomplishments that have yet to be achieved, I still want to work towards those goals to the best of my ability.
One way to work towards any goal is to write it down. I know what you’re thinking, how can something so simple help me reach my goal? Well, let me tell you.

You're More Likely To Reach Writtten Goals
You are more likely to accomplish your goals if you write them down. It is statistically proven that the likelihood of you reaching your goals is much higher if you physically write them down. If writing down your goals makes you more likely to achieve them, then why wouldn’t you write them down.
The Feeling of Marking A Goal As Complete
Checking off your goals feels oh so good! Whether the goal is to get out of bed, eat lunch, or do your homework, the act of slashing through the item on the list makes for the feeling of success. If you write your goals down, you also get to mark them off when you reach them.
You're Less Likely To Be Forgetful
Forgetfulness is going to happen, so if you write your goals down it’ll help you remember. Sometimes the things we want to accomplish can slip out of our mind, and when they do you want to have a reminder of the goals you want to reach. If it’s written down you can refer back to your list so you’ll have a constant reminder.
Motivates You To Reach Your Goal
Writing down your goals will make you excited to reach them. I know this may seem silly, but it’s true. Add a little leisure doodling, highlighting, and organization to your list of goals and watch your motivation start to increase.
You Will Be Held Accountable
It will keep you more accountable. If you think to yourself, I’m gonna workout three times a week, it doesn’t take much to back out of your plans. On the other hand, if you write down a schedule, in your notes or calendar, there is a solid plan or goal in place. While you can shrug off a thought, to erase a scheduled reminder carries a heavier weight.
Writing down your goals will make productivity reach another level, and help push for the motivation you need to reach those accomplishments, no matter how big or small. Next time you’re trying to reach a goal, make sure to write it down and watch your biggest accomplishments come true.
