When traveling there are always millions of options, and not near enough vacation time. I’ve compiled a list of 25 places you should totally look into and add to your bucket list. No matter which ones you decide to write down for later, you genuinely can’t pick a bad option. Don’t worry there’s a little something for everyone.
If you love the cold and could stare at the mountains all day, Aspen is perfect for you. From skiing the mountains to visiting a museum, there is always something incredible to see. It’s mountains, mountains, mountains, and more mountains in Aspen. This a pretty popular place to visit if snow skiing is a perfect vacation for you. I know it may seem a little cliche, but it’s a beautiful place to visit so trust me you won’t regret it.
Bora, Bora, French Polynesia
These island resorts are a trendy destination spot, and it’s not hard to see why. When you stay at a resort, every activity and adventure is at your fingertips. You won’t ever want to leave these gorgeous hut-styled floating hotels.
Take me to the beach! This travel destination is filled with blue waters, sandy beaches, and endless tans. Depending on whether you stay in a resort or are just visiting via cruise, you can choose to lay by the beaches or sightsee until your heart is content.
You haven’t seen skyscrapers until you’ve seen Chicago. Standing in the tallest building in the city, and enriching yourself with culture and delicious pizza this city is a much add to your bucket list. Visit the bean, watch the city, and look out at the water all in one place.
While this may not be a place you would’ve thought of, it’s on you’re going to want to remember. In and a little outside of Driftwood are swimming holes and waterfalls that are beautiful. This destination calls all nature lovers that are craving a little outdoor experience.
In this town inside of Tennessee, there are tourism attractions, shopping, food, and an endless strip of fun. If hustle and bustle isn’t your scene, you’ll find hiking trails, waterfalls, and wildlife just outside of the town. Either way, both will make memories for a lifetime.
Great Ocean Road, Australia
This travel spot will have you in awe for miles on miles. Here you can see the ocean merge with the sky, as you drive around the gorgeous sights. If you’re wanting to stay for a while, they even have resorts with views you won’t get enough of.
Hawaii has always been near the top of my bucket list. Seeing those volcanoes and beaches while surrounded by such a tropical atmosphere sounds beyond perfect. What’s better than snorkeling before lunch, watching a hula show, and then swimming with the turtles?
Talk about gorgeous buildings. It would be a dream to get to go visit London to see all of the amazing architecture and cross Tower Bridge. From riding the London Eye to visiting Covent Garden, there are tons of sights to see in London.
I’ve personally traveled to Florida’s best-kept secret quite a few times in my life and I couldn’t pick a better beach destination in America. If you’re looking for a smaller beach town, this is the one. You can ride bikes down the beachside, spend hours at Juana’s Pagodas beach hangout, and drink coffee while looking out at the ocean.
New Orleans, Louisiana
Say hello to Mardi Gras, parades, seafood, and endless fun. New Orleans is one of those cities that you have to add to any bucket list. If you’re looking for a good time, you should definitely go during the Mardi Gras season, but be warned it’s a very intense holiday.
New York, New York
Imagine standing in the middle of Time’s Square, seeing a city that doesn’t sleep, and visiting places you’re used to only seeing on TV. New York, New York is a definite must. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll find it in New York.
This is only one of many Utah cities with views you have to see. You can see the mountains, ski, eat, shop and more. If you’re wanting to stand in awe, this town, or others in Utah are destinations you have to add to your bucket list.
Oia, Santorini, Greece
Even if you haven’t heard of this place before, I know you’ve probably seen pictures without even realizing it. This beautiful Greece town is known for its amazing buildings on the land that rises straight out of the water. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to swim in the water and look up at such a sight.
If you know anything about me, you know that Paris is on the absolute top of my bucket list. I’ve read so many books and seen such amazing things about the city of love, I’m itching to experience it myself. I can’t wait to stand in front of the Effiel Tower, maroon in hand, and jaw to the floor.
This is another one of the little town destinations that hold big memories. Russelville is a little southern town, with outdoor activities any nature lover would be dying to visit. There have campgrounds, hiking trails, and waterfalls that make for an inexpensive getaway.
This is one, that I originally didn’t think of, but so glad I came upon it. Salzburg is a gorgeous city in which you can see the Eastern Alps. It’s got history and architecture that will leave you wanting more. It’s also where the family from The Sound of Music and Mozart are from!
San Francisco, California
Of course, the biggest attraction to San Francisco is the Golden Gate Bridge, but there are also so many other reasons to add this to your list. You can visit Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, or go fishing! It’s such a pretty city with attractions you won’t want to miss.
Santa Fe, New Mexico
Did someone say snow skiing? If the snow is your happy place, Santa Fe will be perfect. You can spend the day skiing, snowboarding, or just driving up the mountains. The views are a winter wonderland, just make sure you go at the right time. There’s nothing like sitting on a lift, moving up the mountain, with the snow falling on your cheeks.
There is honestly one reason above every other to visit this Washington City, three words Vance Creek Bridge. I’m not sure why, but ever since I saw pictures of this bridge I haven’t been able to get it out of my head. I can’t imagine the exhilarating feeling of standing on this bridge and being on top of the world.
While traveling to Alaska, doesn’t seem like something I’d go out of my way to do, if you’ve ever seen photos, you know exactly why I would. The cold might make the trip a little bitter, but the nature you’ll see will make the trip one hundred percent worth it.
Tellico Plains, Tennessee
Here’s another nature destination, you’ll be in love with. This travel destination would be the perfect place to relax and recharge. You can rent out a cabin, see the waterfalls, and smile in front of the breathtaking mountains. This is the perfect destination for a little getaway.
The Hague, Netherlands
I’ve always wanted to travel to the Netherlands. The museums, art, canals, and more make this spot priceless. It’s such a beautiful city to visit and there’s so much to see. Culture and attractions are truly everywhere. You definitely want to look into adding this place to your bucket list.
At this destination, you can get a little bit of the arts, adventure, and attractions all in one place. There really is a little bit of everything. You can go hiking, sightseeing, skiing, or even whale watching. With options so diverse, how can you say no?
Close your eyes and imagine floating down the canal as you pass under Rialto Bridge, listening to Italian music, with complete peace of mind. It’s such a beautiful painting that encompasses everything traveling is about. This destination is one that makes it to everyone’s bucket list.
